  • Do you take commissions?
    Yes! Please contact me and I will get back to you to discuss what I can offer.
  • Are frames included when I purchase artwork?
    Frames are not included for ease of shipping and also to allow you to select a frame that is to your taste and appropriate for where the artwork will be displayed. However, if you are local and would prefer the artwork to be framed for collection, please contact me to discuss. It is also worth noting that my original paintings are on a box canvas and can therefore by hung without a frame if preferred, while many of my prints can be supplied with a mount that allows them to fit in a standard frame, thus reducing framing costs.
  • How can I find out when new work is available?
    Sign up to my mailing list to find out about new work before anyone else. Don't worry, you won't be inundated with e-mails - I only send out a newsletter when I have something to share (typically every few months). You can also follow me on Instagram @gillianhanceyart where I post images of new work in progress, sneak peaks and announce when new pieces are finished and available.
  • I see something I like. How can I buy it?
    Please contact me by pressing the button below. Payment can be made by BACS or PayPal.
  • Are you interested in collaborations?
    Absolutely. I am particularly interested in collaborations that use art to build community, that are focused on reusing and repurposing materials, that use art for mental health benefits or that are linked to medical and biology projects. Please contact me with further details using the button below and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
  • What if I change my mind?
    It is important to me that you are happy with your purchase. If you decide for whatever reason after purchase that the artwork is not for you, please contact me within 7 working days of delivery by email to I will issue a full refund (less shipping cost) on receipt of the painting or print in its original condition. ​ Please note that commissions, once approved at all the relevant points in the art process, will not be refunded.
  • Can the artwork be gift-wrapped?
    Yes! Please contact me if you have any special requests for how the artwork is presented and I'll do what I can to help. ​ ​ ​
