'Room for Two'
About this painting
This vibrant, colourful piece gives an almost magical portrayal of an everyday walk in the rain. Based on a photo taken by Gillian, it features children attempting to share an umbrella as they walk together in the rain. The painting was created by first filling the canvas with pattern and colour, and a sketch of the image was then superimposed on top of this. The image was then brought out and fine brushwork and Posca Pens were used to add extra colour and detail to really bring the painting to life.
